About Krista Stockett

Krista has been fascinated by history for as long as she can remember. Her passion for history led her to earn a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in Teaching.

For years she has immersed herself in the world of medieval Scotland, traveling to the country twice. Her bookshelves hold more than fifty books on Scottish history with another thirty devoted to the medieval world. An avid reader of both historical fiction and historical romance, she loves stories that transport readers to another time and place. Her meticulously researched novels bring medieval Scotland to life through authentic historical detail and romance.

Originally from Kentucky, Krista now resides on a ranch in the Texas Panhandle. When she is not writing with a cat stretched out across her desk, Krista enjoys spending time with her family and her rescue dogs and cats, reading, and gardening.
